Camtasia Video for Blue Raspberry Digital
Brand Kits in Canva
Audience:
Social media marketing interns. Some have some college. Some have a bachelor’s degree and a previous career. Some have no college, but a lot of work experience. They are usually between the ages of 22-35, though some are as young as 20 and as old as 55. They are all comfortable with technology and know some basics of using Canva.
Problem:
Blue Raspberry Digital Marketing has a lot of interns for the summer who need training on some of the intermediate features of Canva. This will ensure brand consistency across designs, and streamline interns’ workflow. It will also reduce interruptions to supervisors’ workflows from interns asking questions.
Goal:
Summer interns will complete intermediate Canva training series within two weeks of hire.
Solution:
A series of instructional videos showing interns how to use intermediate and advanced Canva features.
Process:
Since this is a fictional company, and I am only creating one video, I began with the storyboard and script for the Camtasia video. I then created a screen recording, voiceover, and edited the video to be succinct and professional.
Vyond Video for Wood Crest Community Bank
7 Tips for Active Listening
Project:
Wood Crest Community Bank has noticed a dip in revenue due to customers taking their accounts to other banks. Upon further investigation, they notice that 70% of customer exit surveys mention poor customer service. Bank clerk supervisors also notice that their employees are often lacking customer service skills, such as active listening.
This video is part of a broader training solution that includes a virtual instructor-led training (vILT) and job aid. This video, and clips from it, are presented during the vILT. It is also meant to be sent to participants at some point after the training as well, to refresh their memories as they practice active listening on the job.

In this project, I created 10 e-learning modules for a Utah-based workers' compensation law firm training new paralegals on how to use their phone screening scripts for client conversion. (I scrubbed and recreated one module for this portfolio with permission.) I handled the entire process, using the ADDIE and SAM models from needs analysis to evaluation.

Job Aid for Sprouts' Garden Supply
Winter Sowing Basics
Project:
Sprouts' Garden Supply's new employees need training on Winter Sowing, so they can advise customers on products to buy and help increase sales. I created a job aid that would be both mailed to customers and used in the store as associates assist customers. I also created an e-learning course in Rise with scenarios that teaches new employees the basics of how winter sowing works.

Job Aid for Keithston Medical Center
Electrical Safety for Nurses
Project:
There was a small fire in a patient's room at Keithston Medical Center. This resulted in a failed safety inspection. I created a job aid to remind nurses of what to do if they find medical equipment that is defective. I also created a Rise course to bring the medical center into compliance and prevent electrical issues in the future. My course trains nurses on electrical safety and gives them the opportunity to practice safety procedures and decision-making while on the job.

It's part of the participant guide which participants use often during the training.
