Diana P. Warnick

Instructional Designer and e-Learning Developer

My dream in life has always been to create engaging learning experiences. "No more boring training!" is my mantra. I have honed my craft over many years in the pursuit of growth both personally and professionally. I've applied the ADDIE process consistently through my career  in education, in which I regularly analyzed needs, designed and developed curricula, implemented them, and evaluated and adapted them based on learner needs. I've worked with stakeholders and SMEs to create blended learning solutions based on adult learning theories. I have always learned quickly and have developed a keen eye for detail and visual design. I believe that with the right mix of accurate needs analysis, creativity, real-world application, and interactivity, performance problems can be solved in efficient, engaging, and budget-friendly ways.

I enjoy the challenge of working with stakeholders and SMEs to analyze needs and determine solutions, whether they're training or non-training solutions. I thrive on asking probing questions to ensure I understand needs and content correctly. I think in terms of systems and processes made of parts and can break down content into appropriately bite-sized chunks. I thrill with the creative challenge of designing and developing engaging, scenario-based learning solutions that are just enough information to enable success while striving to meet time and budget constraints.

When I'm not geeking out about learning solutions, I enjoy creating art, bird watching, gardening, reading psychology books, trying new restaurants, singing, keeping up my French practice streak on DuoLingo, and volunteering locally. Please check out my credentials below and feel free to contact me via email or LinkedIn!

AIDA Credential

I put in 30+ hours per week for 9 months to gain the knowledge and skills necessary for this certification and additional electives. I completed needs analyses, then designed and developed e-learning courses through alpha, beta, and gold versions. I completed my own quality assurance according to strict rubrics, and implemented verbal and written feedback from mentors in the field.
